Excellent video! He is a great speaker on the subject, very natural and unrehearsed.
What's the fish population in the Potomac now compared to Washington's time?
Thank you for this video. Samuel Murphy does a nice job explaining about the fisheries along the Potomac. Also, great thanks to the re-enactors who pointedly remind us, simply by their presence, who was out there doing most of the dirty work. I often do not accurately visualise who was doing the labour on farms and plantations in the 18th century. Every time you are talking about the work being done on Washington’s estates, there are the enslaved being an integral part of how the work got done. Thank you for your candor.
Well done video…thanks.
